Today I headed to Napa for a Bay Area Wedding Network gathering at the Christian Brothers Retreat Center, up in the gorgeous hills. Megan came with me for an afternoon of mingling, a tour of the gorgeous estate (which, besides housing the monk type dudes, is available for retreats, weddings, corporate events, and even single guest room rentals - as well as swimming, picnicking, catering, etc), a delicious lunch, and wedding professional discussion.
Since another photographer co-sponsored the event, I didn't shoot any photos (out of respect for him), except for a few quick ones on the way out because it is BEAUTIFUL out there!
Highlights were the lunch by the tasty Rising Sun Catering Co. (yet another organic/ sustainable Bay Area caterer, hooray!), and the beautiful flowers provided by Pat Gibbons and Chloe Vanessa. They both had very unique arrangements, which are so refreshing amongst the usual basic centerpieces.
Afterwards, we headed over to Gloria Ferrer, so that I could get an idea of where I'll be shooting Stephanie and Sean's wedding next weekend. It was windy but bright and clear, and so Northern Californian. I'm so excited for their wedding day!
Am I the only one who likes the industrial aspects (as well as, obviously, the natural ones) of wine making?
