It was a fun surprise to find my photos from Henry and Isby's wedding at the Earth Friendly Wedding Blog.





I have a beautiful wedding to share early next week (and another to shoot on Sunday!)... so many beautiful details, that I want to make sure to have enough time to write the blog post. Have a great weekend!

More album designs!

Here are a few recent albums I designed for 2008 clients. I am so happy with how they turned out!

Alexis and David ordered a beautiful NYC-style Couture Book (I think this is my new favorite!). The cover with its linen, printed slipcase reminds me of an awesome record album, and the inside pages are printed on beautiful matte paper:









And they are thrilled with the final result:

Jean and Romie ordered an Iris Album in red, raw silk to match the vibrant colors of their wedding flowers, tapas dinner, and (my favorite) Jean's dress - beautiful! These pages are photo prints mounted on archival board:

If you're interested in an album, just drop me a line. My busy shooting season is still going, but I will start intensively designing books and albums in the fall to insure a holiday delivery. I do love designing these books, and like to let each client and event guide the style of each individual album...

Justine of Cast Away in Yarn Market News!

By now, my blog readers will recognize my friend Justine from the many times she's been featured (and, no, we're not related - just redheads). I did a lifestyle BBQ shoot with her family a few years ago (which appeared in PDN magazine's 2008 Photo Annual), and I've done several shoots showcasing her beautiful Santa Rosa-based yarn shop, Cast Away. Recently I had the opportunity to do some more shots featuring Justine (and her sweet dog, Olive) in Cast Away - a few of which are running in the current issue of the trade magazine Yarn Market News!

Ah, Facebook. As everyone in the world seems to know now, it allows for friends, family, and long lost classmates to reconnect. It's been fun to catch up with people I knew from high school (PHS class of '96), and it was extra nice to hear from Noah and his adorable little family! I was flattered that he wanted to hire me for a family portrait on their next visit to the area, and so pleased to meet his lovely wife, Anjli, and their sweet boy, Samir. I may overuse the words "cute" and "adorable" sometimes, but I think you'll find, in this case in particular - I'm not wrong!



Anjli and Noah apologized up and down for Samir's "grouchy" disposition - since his sleeping schedule was thrown off - and I just laughed. He was one of the sweetest little guys (about one year old? I can't remember) I've photographed, and though his parents said he wasn't as smiley as he normally is, there were no tears or wails through any of it. He mostly looked observant and studious, so we had fun capturing that aspect of his personality while we warmed him up to some smiles.







Noah was one of the smartest kids in our class (and he went to MIT and works for NASA - that's a lot of initials, dude!), and Anjli's super smart herself, so it makes sense that Samir looks studious and intelligent.









Anjli is model-gorgeous! But works as a geneticist (or something).



I love it when parents turn into goofballs in front of the camera:

I love the dramatic oak trees and evening sunlight - very Sonoma County!



Thanks for the great shoot, Noah and Anjli! Samir is so sweet and adorable, and it was great to have a quick catch up with you all.



I got to the park pretty early and took some fun shots of wildflowers/ weeks:
