Samovar Tea Lounge, Yerba Buena Gardens, San Francisco, California

Some more catch-ups - I loved going to Samovar in Yerba Buena Gardens, SF, to meet Rosa and Richard for their portraits a few weeks ago. These didn't fit in with the portraits I posted a few weeks ago, but how awesome do these snacks/ tea services look, and how funny is Rosa's face?!

Who wants to have tea with me sometime?

Here is a nerdy self-portrait on the carousel, and a cool... giraffe? Horse? What IS that?!

Rosa and Richard are both into photography as well, so not only did Richard let me experiment with his camera's extra wide lens (I forget which one it was, but the way it fits on my full-frame-sensor 5D's body creates that awesome vignette, plus their macro lens. Here's a normal shot with my lens:

and then... extreme close-up! whooooooa!

(I took a cool one of my wedding ring, too, but I am too weirded out at the details of the pores and lines on my hand to share.)

Richard also took these crazy, digitally-composited photos of ME! I was nervous about being a "model", but it was really painless, and turned out so cool. Scary to see so many of myself...

How cool is that?!
