Miscellaneous pictures of our new house

Here are some shots from previous months, of our new house as the work started coming together. The one below is of Devon working on trimming a tree at night. Oh, how I love this man and making our home together! : )

Little Gracie peeking out from the place she found way up in the closet, where she shouldn't be, after knocking stuff aside as she carved a path all the way up there, no regard for the boxes and things in her way. Sigh.

Devon's been really into houseplants and gardening lately:

Once again, our little dining/ living room area with the picture window:

Here's Devon preparing to eat some fat Thanksgiving leftovers - and making silly faces to show his love for them.

Kitchen tile:

A few holdovers from the beautiful Thanksgiving and Halloween decorations our families brought us:

A peek into our guest room when it was almost done:

The lemon tree! I've always looked forward to the day I could have my own lemon tree in our own backyard, and now I do!

We don't know what this tree is, or if it will survive, but I liked the way it looked next to the fence, with the big dandelion next to it. I'm now working on killing those weeds... it's taking a bit of time.

One layer of the curtains I am so proud of having hemmed and finished in the living room:

And lastly, a beautiful grey painting that Devon made years ago. I want him to start painting again - maybe we'll have to get him new paints and brushes for his next birthday?

Everything looks so sweet and homey. It's obvious from your postings that you two are so very happy to be settling in and calling this place YOUR HOME.
P.S. Hurray for lemon trees!
