What a pleasure to photograph Jenny and Mike's beautiful baby girl, Beatrix! It is wonderful to see them growing as a family, to meet their lovebug, and to watch the tenderness that has long existed between the two of them grow exponentially and include little Bea.
They came up to Santa Rosa and we did the shoot in between bouts of rainstorms at a nearby park that I love. Beatrix was transfixed by the dogs and other people that were also enjoying a break in the weather. We got some lovely smiles but I also enjoy this look of concentration - it's very telling of the age (about 3.5 months) Bea's at, when babies are really starting to notice the world beyond themselves and their parents.
Bea's grandmother crocheted this beautiful little cap - doesn't she look like a victorian little lady? And those eyes!!
Thank you Jenny, Mike and Beatrix! It was lovely to see you three, and I hope our daughters have some playdates together as they grow.
(If you're interested in a family portrait, don't forget that there is still some time left for my current mini portrait session special! More information here!)
